I just started experimenting with the write cache choices. I also made a slightly different change on the getBlock path so that there would be no await if there was a cache hit which also helped a little. I think this is all very ripe for more improvements. I think there’s a lot more that can be done here without much work. These were just experiments to get a sense of what’s possible.
